LINCOLN PARK — Clarke's Bar and Grill, 2445 N. Lincoln Ave., is temporarily closed for remodeling, according to a sign posted to its door.

The sign reads, "We will be closed for some remodeling and our annual cleaning. Oh, and a little fishing. See you in a week or two." The news was first reported by the blog Eater.

But if history repeats itself, the location might be headed toward closure.

A similar sign went up at the Lakeview location, 930 W. Belmont Ave., earlier this month. Instead of reopening, though, the Lakeview diner ended up closing for good and reopening as Belmont Cafe.

Lincoln Park location employees were not reachable for comment Thursday.

Locations in Hyde Park, 1447 E. 53rd St., and Evanston, 720 N. Clark St., remain open, according to an employee.
