WEST HUMBOLDT PARK — A 23-year-old man was shot in West Humboldt Park Saturday night, police said.

Around 9:30 p.m., the man was sitting in a parked car in the 1200 block of North Keeler Avenue when someone walked up and shot at him before running away southbound, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, Sedevic said, where he was in stable condition after being treated for gunshot wounds in both his legs.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.

No one is in custody, Sedevic said.
