CHICAGO — Twelve people have been wounded in shootings since Saturday morning, police say. Among the gun violence were a triple-shooting in Austin and a shooting at an Austin party where three men were injured and a woman driving by was hit.

These shootings bring the total for the weekend to three dead, 24 wounded in shootings since Friday morning.

• Most recently, three men were treated for gunshot wounds they sustained at 5:10 a.m. Sunday in the 4800 block of West Van Buren Street in Austin, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

A 24-year-old man was shot twice in his right armpit and walked to Stroger Hospital, where he was in good condition, Lemmon said. A 32-year-old man was shot in his right forearm and was treated at the scene but refused further service, Lemmon said, and a 27-year-old man had a graze wound to his left foot and walked into West Suburban Medical Center, where he was in good condition.

The men have been uncooperative with police and are documented gang members, police said.

• At 1:15 a.m., a man was sitting in a car in the 11700 block of South Bishop Street in West Pullman when he heard shots and felt pain, Lemmon said. The man, who is 20 years old, was shot in the chest and taken to Stroger Hospital in stable condition, Lemmon said.

• At 12:05 a.m., a man in his 20s was injured in a Bridgeport shooting, police said.

• At 5:45 p.m. Saturday, a 21-year-old man was in the 6800 block of South Wabash Avenue in Greater Grand Crossing when a man shot him and ran away, Lemmon said. The victim was shot in his upper right leg and was in serious but stable condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center, Lemmon said.

The shooter ran southbound on Wabash Avenue, Lemmon said.

The victim is a documented gang member, police said.

• At 4:07 p.m., a 23-year-old man was in the 8600 block of South Escanaba Avenue in South Chicago when he heard an argument outside and then heard shots and felt pain, Lemmon said. The man was shot in his left thigh and was in stable condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center, Lemmon said.

The shooter ran west through a gangway, Lemmon said.

• At 10:50 a.m., a 17-year-old boy was in the 4800 block of West Huron Street in Austin when he was shot in his leg, Lemmon said. The boy was treated at West Suburban Medical Center, Lemmon said.
