HUMBOLDT PARK — A 29-year-old man is in critical condition following a shooting in Humboldt Park early Sunday morning, police said.

The man was walking in the 4400 block of West Augusta Boulevard around 1 a.m. when someone walked up and fired shots, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds in his stomach, Estrada said.

Police said the victim is a documented gang member, and they believe the shooting to be gang-related.

No one is in custody for the shooting.
