CHICAGO — A 14-year-old boy was shot in his left shin in Humboldt Park late Friday night, police said.

At 11:05 p.m., the boy was standing with a group of people on the 1000 block of North Kedvale Avenue when he heard gunshots and felt pain, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The boy was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he's now in stable condition, Estrada said.

No one is in custody for the shooting, Estrada said, but police are investigating.
