CHICAGO — A 36-year-old killed late Monday in a Rogers Park shooting has been identifed as Kevin Davis, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner.

At 11 p.m., Davis was walking on the sidewalk in the 7400 block of North Rogers Avenue when several men walked up and at least one shot at the man, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

He was shot in his lower back and shoulder and was taken to St. Francis Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Estrada said.

Davis' home address was unknown.
