CHICAGO  — This weekend felt like PROPER SUMMER and we LOVED IT. We're also loving the warm and sunny forecast for the week. Let's get this week started outside.

1. Have a Rock and Roll Picnic: Murder By Death's name is much scarier than the Bloomington, Indiana band's sound, which is the perfect mix of indie rock and alt-country for a warm summer night in Millennium Park. The show is part of the park's Downtown Sound series, and Nashville's Banditos open. The show starts at 6:30 p.m. at Pritzker Pavilion, 205 E. Randolph. Free.

2. Go On A Cool Date: With yourself, your dog, your bestie or your boo. Alfred Hitchcock's 1954 classic "Dial M For Murder" plays outside in Lincoln Park tonight. The film stars Grace Kelly as the wealthy wife of a shady tennis pro who wants to kill her and snag her inheritance. Show starts around 8:15 p.m. at 2045 N. Lincoln Park West. Free.

3. Eat Wings And Drink Beer With Pals: Have a case of the Mondays? Drown your sorrows in cheap beer and wings on the sweet patio at Cleos. Tonight, they're serving up 35 cent wings and $10 domestic pitchers. Cleos is open 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. at 1935 W. Chicago Ave.

4. Catch a Classic in the Park: Interested in a throwback film outdoors but don't want to head to the North Side? Jackson Park is screening the 1939 Frank Capra film "Mr. Smith Goes To Washington," where you will learn that politics has always been an ethically murky business. Show starts at 8:30 p.m. at 6401 S. Stony Island Ave. Free.

5. Guzzle Cheap Drinks With Your Fellow Servers: It’s industry night at Clark Street Dog, so chow down on some hot dogs outside before enjoying the $4 well drinks and glasses of wine in appreciation of all the underappreciated work you do, Chicago servers. Open 10 a.m. to  3 a.m at 3040 N. Clark St.
