CHICAGO — Your dog could be in the Guinness World Record book Saturday.

A free pet-friendly music fest is coming to Chicago and aims to break Guinness World Record for largest gathering of pets — a record that stands at 4,616 pets from 2007.

Woofstock goes from noon-5 p.m. Saturday at the Stadium Green at Soldier Field, 1410 Museum Campus Drive, and is presented by Animal Planet, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and Paws Chicago, the Chicago animal shelter at 1997 N. Clybourn Ave.

The fest is bringing its fair share of animal and human celebrities to the South Loop.

The main stage will be hosted by comedian and voice actor Eugene Mirman, who voices Gene Belcher on "Bob's Burgers."

Headlining the fest is Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, with more music from JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound and The Suffers.

Internet-famous cat Lil Bub and Manny the Frenchie will make appearances, as will Jackson Galaxy of the TV show "My Cat From Hell," as well as some stars of show "Pit Bulls and Parolees."

The Guinness World Record for "largest gathering of adopted pets" will be attempted to be broken at 2:30 p.m.

The current record, according to Guinness World Records, occurred in August 2007 in Colombia, where 4,616 pets went for a walk with their owners.

Of course, there's also plenty to do for the four-legged attendees, with a Puppy Bowl re-enactment, obstacle courses, treats and photo ops.

In addition to food trucks, Lagunitas Brewing Co. will present "The Beer Sanctuary."
