18-Year-Old Man Killed in Humboldt Park Shooting Identified

HUMBOLDT PARK — An 18-year-old man was shot dead Saturday night in West Humboldt Park, police said.

The man was walking on the 4200 block of West Division Street at about 11:19 p.m. when a man walked up and fired shots, according to Chicago Police spokesman Officer Jose Estrada. The shooter then ran off in an unknown direction, Estrada said.

The teen was shot in the chest and police pronounced him dead at the scene, Estrada said.

Chad Harris, of the 100 block of North Harding Avenue, died at 11:45 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Harris was shot multiple times and his death was ruled a homicide, the Medical Examiner's office said.

So far no one is in custody, Estrada said.
