LOGAN SQUARE — Police say a man is in custody Thursday night after he fired at police in Logan Square.

Shots were fired around 7:41 p.m., June 18, after officers responded to a report of a man with a gun near the intersection of Francisco Avenue and Logan Boulevard, according to Chicago Police spokeswoman Officer Amina Greer.

The man, said to be in his 20s, turned and fired shots at officers as they approached, police said.

No injuries were reported, no further shots were fired and the man was arrested after a brief foot chase, according to police. A weapon was recovered at the scene, around a half mile directly east of Logan Square's Illinois Centennial Monument.
