CHICAGO — If you manage to catch some sun this rainy (but not abnormal) June, you're now free to do it poolside in Chicago.

The Chicago Park District's 49 pools opened for the season Friday, welcoming sunbathers and swimmers.

Pool entry is free, but swim lessons and other aquatic classes carry fees.

Hours vary between locations, and can be found here.

Before area pools opened, a black screen designed to keep out the gaze of leerers caused controversy in Bucktown, and was quickly removed.
