CHICAGO — One man is dead, and at least six other people were wounded in shootings since Saturday night, police said. Since Friday morning, three people have been killed and 17 others wounded.

In Back of the Yards, two vehicles pulled up to a corner and began firing shots, fatally shooting one man and wounding another.

In Humboldt Park, a man was treated and released after being shot in his right thigh, and in Pilsen, an 18-year-old man was wounded early Saturday night.

• Most recently, a 34-year-old man was standing on a sidewalk in the 4300 block of West Maypole Avenue in West Garfield Park, when a man approached on foot and opened fire around 12:45 a.m., said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was shot in his right leg and driven by an acquaintance to John H. Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in fair condition, Estrada said.

• In West Pullman at 10:23 p.m., a 21-year-old man was arguing with three other men on a CTA bus in the 100 block of West 119th Street, Estrada said.

When the 21-year-old got off the bus, the three men followed and one of the men pulled out a gun and fired shots. The man suffered a graze wound on his groin and leg, and he was taken to Roseland Community Hospital where he was listed in good condition, Estrada said.

Three people of interest are being questioned in the ongoing investigation, Estrada said.

• Hours earlier, an 18-year-old man accidentally shot himself in the 1500 block of South Hamlin Avenue in North Lawndale, Estrada said.

The man originally told police that he was outside when a white sedan pulled up and someone inside fired shots around 5 p.m. The 18-year-old was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital by a friend, and was listed in fair condition, Estrada said.

The man later admitted to accidentally shooting himself in the foot,  Estrada said.
