CHICAGO — Three people were wounded in violence in the city Wednesday afternoon, police said.

In the Loop, a man was seriously wounded after he was stabbed in his neck.

Most recently, an 18-year-old was shot in his back in the 1200 block of West 71st Place in West Englewood, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition, and a red car was seen driving away from the shooting, Lemmon said.

According to police, the 18-year-old was uncooperative with detectives.

In Chicago Lawn, a 22-year-old man was critically wounded in a shooting just before 1 p.m.

Around 12:55 p.m., the man was found lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his head in the 3000 block of West 63rd Street, Lemmon said.

The 22-year-old, who police said is a documented gang member, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition, police said.
