WICKER PARK — A popular vintage sale returns to the intersection of Damen Avenue and Schiller Street on Saturday and offers an array of items, including T-shirts featuring the neighborhood's main hub.
"We have a great mix of people in the community as well as professionals participating in the sale," said Leah Root, president of the Wicker Park Committee, which organizes the annual fundraiser, set for 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday in front of Pritzker School, 2009 W. Schiller St., across from the park.
Though the 30-plus vendors, who rent out booths, keep all of the profits from their sales, their booth rental fee is donated to the nonprofit Wicker Park neighborhood group.
Among the sale's highlights are handmade jewelry, baby clothing and shoes, modern and mid-century furniture, kitchen and household goods, books, clothing and some general "garage sale"-type stuff, based on a slideshow on the Wicker Park Committee's website.

Another vendor will be selling antique household items and furniture, including chairs that appeared on the TV show "Sirens," according to a promotional photo.
