Bridge Sign Implores Chicagoans to #NeverForget Dave Matthews Poop Dump

RIVER NORTH —  You can't crap on our town and get away with it.

In 2004, a Dave Matthews Band tour bus notoriously dumped 800 pounds of human waste while crossing the Kinzie Street railroad bridge, showering passengers on an open-air architectural river cruise below with nasty stuff.

Now, with the 11-year anniversary of the dump approaching, a small sign has appeared on the River North bridge reminding passersby to never forget.

The sign appeared a bit early for the August anniversary, but history lessons are always appreciated.

For what it's worth, the band later donated $50,000 to the Chicago Park District and Friends of the Chicago River in an effort "to begin the healing process," according to the Tribune.
