HUMBOLDT PARK — A pedestrian was struck and injured by a Chicago Police vehicle in Humboldt Park Friday night, police said.

The crash occurred in the 1200 block of North Karlov Avenue around 7:15 p.m., said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman, Friday.

The pedestrian was taken to Norwegian Hospital in stable condition, she said.

Saturday morning, police spokeswoman Officer Stacey Cooper said that the pedestrian was a 24-year-old man. Cooper said he "ran into" the officer's squad car as it was traveling southbound on Karlov Avenue.

A witness posted a photo to Twitter that she said showed the scene of the crash.

No other information was immediately available.
