CHICAGO — At least six people were wounded in shootings throughout the city since Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Most recently, a 41-year-old man was standing on a rear porch in a yard in the 8700 block of South Princeton Avenue in Chatham at 11:30 p.m. when a man entered the yard and fired shots, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was shot in the left leg and taken to Saint Bernard Hospital where he was listed in fair condition, Sedevic said.

Several hours earlier, a 25-year-old man was shot in the foot in the 2500 block of North New England Avenue in Montclare at 6:50 p.m., Sedevic said.

He was taken to Community First Medical Center where he was listed in fair condition, Sedevic said.

In Woodlawn around 5:30 p.m., a 24-year-old man was walking in the 6400 block of South Maryland Avenue when he was shot in the leg. He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in fair condition, Sedevic said.

According to police, the man was being uncooperative with investigators.

Less than an hour earlier, a 35-year-old man told investigators he was standing in an enclosed porch in the 10200 block of South Wallace Street in Washington Heights at 4:20 p.m. when he heard shots and felt pain, Sedevic said.

The man was shot in both of his legs and taken to Roseland Community Hospital by friends. He was listed in fair condition, Sedevic said.

In West Garfield Park around 1:40 p.m., an 18-year-old man was walking through an alley in the 200 block of North Pulaski Road when he saw a man with a gun then heard shots and felt pain. The man suffered a graze wound to the ankle and was in good condition, Sedevic said.

About an hour earlier, a 29-year-old man was shot in the ankle in the first block of East 100th Place in Roseland at 12:50 p.m.. He was taken to Roseland Community Hospital where he was listed in fair condition, Sedevic said.
