CHICAGO — Seven people have been shot across the city since Tuesday morning including a 16-year-old boy who was among two people shot in Chicago Lawn.

Around 2:40 p.m., the 16-year-old and 22-year-old man were walking in the 7000 block of South Talman Avenue when someone began shooting at them from a black SUV, said Officer Stacey Cooper, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The 16-year-old boy was shot in his chest and taken to Christ Hospital in critical condition. The 22-year-old man was shot in his leg also taken to Christ, where his condition was stabilized, Cooper said.

Most recently, a 24-year-old man was shot in his shoulder in Little Village. And on the Northwest Side, a 27-year-old man was shot during an attempted robbery in Dunning.

Around 10:20 p.m., a 61-year-old woman was shot in her neck in McKinley Park. After shots were fired in the area, police chased a man onto the Stevenson Expy. until he crashed and was taken in for questioning.

Also Tuesday, a 24-year-old man was shot in the South Loop around 3:15 p.m.

Around 11 a.m., a 21-year-old was shot in his calf in the 6400 block of South Halsted Street in Englewood. He walked into St. Bernard Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, Cooper said.

No one is in custody for the shootings.
