AUBURN GRESHAM — Monday's block party to celebrate the start of filming for Spike Lee's upcoming film has been postponed.

St. Sabina Church was hosting the event on Memorial Day, which was going to take place on Throop Street between 78th and 79th streets. There was going to be music, activities for children and raffles. Lee was expected to attend.

Notice went out on Thursday afternoon saying that due to the weather forecast for Monday, the party is postponed until a later date. According to the National Weather Service, Monday is supposed to see a high of 77 degrees with a chance of scattered thunderstorms throughout the area.
