CHICAGO — Two men were wounded in overnight shootings in the South Side since Friday night, police said.
Most recently in West Englewood, a 27-year-old man was driving in the 1200 block of West 62nd Street around 2:20 a.m., when he heard shots and felt pain, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman, citing preliminary information.
The 27-year-old was shot in his left bicep and drove himself to Saint Bernard Hospital, police said.
In Chatham around 9 p.m., a 20-year-old man was walking down the street in the 400 block of West 80th Street when he heard numerous gunshots and was struck in both legs, Estrada said.
He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where his condition had stabilized, Estrada said.
No one is in custody, and police are investigating.
