CHICAGO — Pro golfer John Daly, who has a long history of battling alcohol abuse, will serve as a celebrity bartender Friday night at the ChiSox Bar & Grill at U.S. Cellular Field before the White Sox game.
Daly will be serving his new signature “John Daly Cocktail” for $7 a drink during his celebrity bartending appearance, the Sox said.
Later, Daly will throw out a ceremonial first pitch before the game against the Cincinnati Reds.
Daly's professional career began in 1987, and after joining the PGA Tour in 1991, he won the PGA Championship and earned PGA Tour Rookie of the Year honors, according to the Sox. He also won the British Open in 1995.
Daly told MailOnline last month that he has been sober for seven years.
