CHICAGO — A 14-year-old boy was shot Sunday afternoon in Rogers Park.
Around 2:40 p.m., the boy was walking with a group in the 1900 block of West Birchwood Avenue when two men walked up to the group and one of them opened fire, striking the boy in his right wrist, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.
The boy was treated at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston and released, Estrada said.
No one is in custody for the shooting.
