CHICAGO — Three men are dead and at least two other people are wounded after separate shootings in Chicago Friday evening, according to police.

In the most recent shooting, a 30-year-old man was shot while crossing the street on the 4400 block of West Armitage Avenue in Hermosa around 5:30 p.m., said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The shooter was in a car turning on the street when he shot the victim in his foot, Lemmon said. The victim was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center and is listed in good condition.

The victim is a documented gang member, and was being uncooperative with police, according to police.

Minutes before, around 5:20 p.m., a 24-year-old man was shot and killed in Grand Crossing.

At around 5 p.m., two men were shot dead and one woman was wounded in North Lawndale on a block that neighbors on the scene described as "silent" and typically not dangerous.

No one was in custody as of 7 p.m. Friday night.
