2 Men In Custody After West Pullman Shooting

CHICAGO — Two men are in custody after two men were shot in West Pullman Monday morning.

Around 9:20 a.m., two men walked out of an alley and opened fire on a group of people sitting in a car in the 11600 block of South Lafayette Avenue, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman.

Two men in the front of the car were wounded. A 51-year-old man was shot in his upper back and listed in serious condition at Christ Hospital. A 40-year-old man was shot in his right arm and taken to Roseland Hospital in good condition, Sedevic said.

A 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old man are in custody, and charges are pending, Sedevic said.

Over the weekend, shootings left three people dead and 22 people wounded.
