CHICAGO — Seven people were shot across the city overnight, including an 18-year-old man and 30-year-old woman who died from their wounds, police said.

In the most recent fatality, an 18-year-old man was found unresponsive with gunshot wounds to his head and abdomen in McKinley Park, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

Earlier on Friday around 5:20 p.m., another man, 18, was shot in his leg in the 700 block of North St. Louis Avenue. Sedevic said he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was listed in fair condition. It was the same "troubled" Humboldt Park block that has been plagued with several shootings and at least one homicide in the past few months.

Two hours later around 7:40 p.m. a 16-year-old boy was shot in the buttocks in the 5300 block of West Chicago Avenue in Austin. Sedevic said once the boy realized he'd been shot, he ran eastbound on Chicago Avenue then turned south onto the 700 block of North Latrobe Avenue, where he was found by police.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, she said.

Mintues later, around 7:45 p.m., a 15-year-old boy was shot in the hip in the 7100 block of South Carpenter Street in Englewood. According to police, the boy was sitting on a front porch when an unknown person approached him on foot and fired shots.

The boy was taken to Christ Medical Center where he was listed in fair condition, Sedevic said.

At 11 p.m., three people were shot while leaving a party in Roseland, leaving one woman dead
