SOLDIER FIELD — Deadheads who paid thousands for a chance to see what was billed as the  band's only reunion shows at Soldier Field might now be wishing they spent that money on a plane ticket instead.

The Grateful Dead announced Friday that it will play two more shows at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., one week before they hit the stage at Soldier Field over Fourth of July weekend.

The Chicago shows remain the last time the psychedelic band will play together, at least for now. Tickets to the Soldier Field festival instantly sold out, with resale prices reaching four figures amid international demand.

Fans without tickets will be allowed to tailgate the Soldier Field shows before the band hits the stage, and Dead and city officials are also working on other options to "accommodate" Deadheads left hanging.

But fans shut out of the shows now have another chance to see the Dead play. At least in California.
