OLD TOWN — The wait is almost over for spin masters seeking some soul in their rides.

SoulCycle, the cycling-based workout studio, is set to open its first Chicago location April 14.

The SoulCycle studio will open at 1225 N. Wells St. in the 1225 Old Town building.

The indoor cycling studio has gained a cult following around the country, and more than 10,000 riders take classes every day. The company has 37 locations nationwide.

The first Chicago SoulCycle will feature 51 bikes, men's and women's locker rooms with showers and onsite parking.

Riders typically burn between 500 and 700 calories during the 45-minute classes, which also include hand weights and core-engaging choreography.
