Man Fatally Stabbed Found in Albany Park

CHICAGO — One man was found dead with a stab wound to his abdomen in Albany Park on the city's North Side, police said Sunday.

There were also two shootings in overnight violence, authorities said.

In Albany Park, police discovered a man's body around 4 a.m. Sunday morning in an apartment in the 5000 block of North Harding Avenue. According to the report, the man, believed to be in his 20s, was found unresponsive and had suffered a fatal stab wound to the abdomen.

The incident may be linked to domestic violence, according to police. No one is currently in custody, and detectives are investigating.

In other violence:

• Around 2:30 a.m., a 35-year-old woman was shot in the arm during a taxi ride in the 1200 block of North Damen Avenue. See here for more details.

• On Saturday, a 19-year-old man arrived at West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park around 7:15 p.m. with a gunshot wound to his right arm. According to police reports, the man told officers he was shot outdoors in the 4600 block of West Erie Street after he was approached by the shooter on foot. 

No arrests have been made yet in connection to the shooting and the incident is under investigation. Police said Sunday morning that the victim's condition has stabilized.
