CHICAGO — A man was hospitalized after being shot Saturday in Englewood, police said.
At 11:30 a.m., a 23-year-old was standing on the sidewalk, in the 6900 block of South Peoria Street when two men emerged from a gangway and fired shots, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.
The man was shot in his left hip and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center where he was listed in good condition, Estrada said.
According to police, the man was uncooperative with investigators.
No one is in custody, and an investigation is ongoing.
