
CHICAGO — A Rogers Park man died after being shot in his chest, according the the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
Police responded to gunshots in the 1700 block West Touhy Avenue at 4:10 a.m. Wednesday and found two men critically wounded. A 23-year-old Rogers Park man was shot in his chest while the other victim, a 30-year-old man, was shot in his back, shoulder and arm, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman.
The 23-year-old was taken to Presence St. Francis Hospital in Evanston where he was pronounced dead. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified him as Albert S. Turnage of the 1700 block of West Greenleaf Avenue.
Police said a man got out of a white minivan and walked up to Turnage and the other man before opening fire.
Pacheco said police are investigating, and no one was in custody.
