Hermosa Man, 76, Disappears on Way to Polling Place

HERMOSA — Police are seeking help in finding a 76-year-old man who is missing after he went to vote Tuesday morning at a polling place on North Kilbourn Avenue.

Police identified the man as Angel Lopez, who is about 5'5 and 200 pounds with brown eyes and gray hair. He was wearing a dark black cap, a three-quarter length dark blue jacket and dark blue pants. He was wearing glasses.

Police said Lopez left his home in the 2300 block of North Kilpatrick Avenue around 9 a.m. to vote. He was driving a brown 2014 Honda Accord with Illinois license plate V546699.

Police said Lopez did not make it to the polling place at 2240 N. Kilbourn Avenue. In a statement, authorities said the missing man "may be confused."

Anyone knowing of Lopez' location is asked to call Area North Special Victims Unit at 312-744-8266.
