Man Fatally Shot In Logan Square, Officials Say

CHICAGO— A man died after being shot in Logan Square Thursday night, police said.

At 11:40 p.m., a 31-year-old man was sitting in a parked SUV, in the 2000 block of West Fullerton Avenue, when a grey-colored pickup pulled up and someone inside fired shots, said Ana Pacheco, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

The man was shot in his head and taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, Pacheco said.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's office identified the victim as Julio Ramos of the 4000 block of West Oakdale Avenue. He was pronounced dead at Illinois Masonic Medical Center at 3:15 a.m. The Medical Examiner's office said Ramons was 30.

No one is in custody, and police are investigating.
