CHICAGO — Red Line users will find their northbound trains on the elevated tracks this weekend as the CTA continues to upgrade their wireless service this weekend.

Red Line trains between Cermak-Chinatown and Fullerton will be rerouted beginning at 10 p.m. Friday until 6 am. Sunday, the CTA said in a news release.

During the scheduled time, northbound trains will stop at the elevated Roosevelt stop, Adams/Wabash, Madison/Wabash, Randolph/Wabash, State/Lake, Clark/Lake, Merchandise Mart, Chicago/Franklin, Sedgwick and Armitage, the CTA said.

Commuters in need of elevator access Downtown will need to use the station at Clark/Lake. Customers Downtown can access Red Line trains by walking a block east of State Street and boarding any elevated station along Wabash or Lake streets.

Commuters are advised to allow extra time for travel. Southbound trains will not be affected.
