LINCOLN PARK — An upcoming authentic ramen shop with roots in Los Angeles is planning to open its first Midwest location in Lincoln Park this summer.

JINYA Ramen Bar plans to open in the former 2 Sparrows space at 533 W. Diversey this summer, according to a press release from a real estate company.

JINYA currently has 11 locations, with the majority in the Los Angeles area.

The restaurant is shooting for a May opening, according to a post on its newly created Facebook page.

The restaurant focuses on "Tonkotsu Ramen," which has a rich and strong smelling noodle with a pork broth.

Two Sparrows, the brunch and lunch spot, closed its doors in October after three years in business at 533 W. Diversey.
