CHICAGO — A Brighton Park man was charged with drug possession after police allegedly found more than $6.75 million of cocaine on him during a drug bust Friday.

Juan Roberto Vazquez, 28, of the 4500 block of South Christiana Avenue, was arrested when police conducted a drug investigation Friday afternoon. Officers saw Vazquez leaving the premises and placing "two heavy suitcases" in his car, police said Saturday.

Police pulled him over after he allegedly committed a traffic violation in the 1500 block of North Kedvale Avenue. When he could not produce a driver's license, he was arrested. Police said officers later found suitcases containing 90 bricks of cocaine, weighing about 120 pounds and worth nearly $7 million.

Vazquez was charged with one felony count of possession of more than 900 grams of cocaine, not possessing a driver's license and a traffic violation.

He is due in court Saturday.
