CHICAGO — At least seven people were wounded in shootings Friday, including a 14-year-old girl, police said.

Earlier, a 35-year-old man was shot in the neck in the 1500 block of South Trumbull Avenue about 5:25 p.m., police said. He was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, Sweeney said. Police said the victim was a documented gang member.

At the same time in the 0-100 block of East 67th Street in Park Manor, a 22-year-old man was shot in multiple times in the chest, Sweeney said. He was taken to Christ in critical condition. Police said the man is a documented gang member.

An 18-year-old man was shot in the leg in the 7800 block of South Coles Avenue in South Shore about 4:45 p.m., Sweeney said. The man was walking when a vehicle approached and someone inside fired shots. He was taken to South Shore Hospital. Police did not know his condition, but said it had stabilized. The shooting may be gang related, police said.

Around 3:30 p.m., a 19-year-old man arrived at Holy Cross Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg, Sweeney said. Police did not know exactly where the shooting took place; the man said he was shot in a drive-by while walking in an alley. He was in good condition.

Two people, including a 14-year-old girl, were shot in Austin Friday morning, police said.

The girl and a 19-year-old man were standing outside in the 5100 block of West Division Street shortly before 9 a.m. when two males approached them and opened fire, police said.

The man was shot multiple times and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, police said. The girl suffered a graze wound and was treated on the scene.

No one is in custody, and Area North detectives are investigating.
