Logan Square Food Delivery Robberies Lead to Police Alert

LOGAN SQUARE — Police have issued an alert to businesses in the Logan Square area after at least two food delivery drivers were robbed since Jan. 11.

The armed robberies typically occurred as the delivery drivers are walking to or from their destinations, police said.

The same men have also committed two street robberies, also within two blocks of each other, according to police.

The incidents took place:

  • in the 3500 block of West McLean Ave. at 3:33 p.m. Jan. 11
  • in the 3500 block of West Dickens Ave. at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday
  • in the 2000 block of North Drake Ave. at 9:15 p.m. Saturday
  • in the 3500 block of West Shakespeare Ave. at 9 p.m. Sunday

The robbers are described as three Hispanic men, ages 16-20 and between 5-foot-3 and 5-foot-10, and a black man ages 16-25 and between 5-foot-7 and 6-foot tall. All were wearing black clothing.

Police asked anyone with information on the robberies to call detectives at 312-744-8263.
