ROGERS PARK — The final tenant of a prominent Morse Avenue strip mall says he's looking for a new storefront, leaving the future of Rogers Plaza a mystery.

Building owner James Yoo closed Mor-Way Laundromat, the largest store in the strip mall, last month and ripped out all of the washers and dryers at 1313 W. Morse Ave.

Yoo declined to comment on what his plans were for his building.

But the owner of Vics Pharmacy, Richard Mbachu, said Yoo told him to find a new storefront for his small business.

"I'm looking for a new store on the same block," he said.

Cellstar Wireless also left the mall recently. Owner Mirella Lujan said Yoo asked her to leave and filed a lawsuit to end her lease.

"He just said we had to move out," she said Tuesday.

The store has since moved to a new storefront a block away. She said she missed the ample parking the strip mall had provided.
