CHICAGO — Authorities said a man thought to be homeless died of exposure on the North Side Friday.

Around 7:10 a.m. Friday, police responded to a call of a man down in the 300 block of West Diversey Parkway. He was pronounced dead on the scene, authorities said.

The man was identified as John B. Webber, 48. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said it appeared Webber was homeless. A police spokeswoman could not confirm if he was homeless.
