Logan Square Tiki Bar Coming Next Year, Scofflaw's Shapiro Says

Details are thin on the upcoming location for now, but if the always-packed Three Dots and a Dash tiki-themed bar is any indication, the bar will do just fine in Logan Square.

LOGAN SQUARE — Tiki bars and tiki-inspired cocktails are all the rage these days, so it's only natural that one would open in Chicago's trendiest neighborhood.

The crew behind the uber-popular Slippery Slope and Scofflaw is bringing the throwback cocktail trend to Logan Square. Scofflaw and Slippery Slope head bartender Danny Shapiro confirmed that a new tiki spot was coming to the 'hood.

Shapiro wouldn't say where the bar would be, but if the always-packed Three Dots and a Dash is any indication, the bar will be a popular addition to the neighborhood.

Since it opened last year, star mixologist Paul McGee's Three Dots has had rave reviews — and sometimes lengthy waits for a table. Folks looking for a tiki experience without waiting in a cold River North alley have to head to Hala Kahiki in the 'burbs.

Expect the Logan Square spot sometime next year.
