Shane Mauss at Zanies, 1548 N. Wells St, 8:30 p.m.

2013 was a busy year for Shane Mauss. He made his fifth appearance on "Conan," recorded his first hour-long special and performed his solo show in the world's largest comedy festival for a month straight. Tickets to his show Wednesday are $25 with the purchase of two food or drink items.

Birds of Chicago at Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln Ave., 8 p.m.

The American folk, rock, songwriting group from Chicago and Montreal will perform with the Black Lillies and Markus Leo at Lincoln Hall. Tickets to the 21-and-over show are $20.

Carl Weathersby at Kingston Mines, 2548 N. Halsted St., 10:30 p.m.

Carl Weathersby will be headlining shows at 10:30 p.m., 12:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m., while Mike Wheeler will be performing on the North Stage at 9:30 p.m., 11:30 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. Doors open at 7 p.m. and Kingston Mines closes at 4 a.m.
