NORWOOD PARK — A Far Northwest Side nonprofit that strives to help seniors live independently is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

The Norwood Senior Network, which delivers meals to homebound seniors, also provides care management, in-home care services, transportation, social outings and emergency response in an effort to enhance the safety, privacy and dignity of area seniors, officials said.

The organization was recognized during the past two years with the Best of Home Care Provider of Choice and Best of Home Care Employer of Choice awards.

Since 2009, the organization has managed the Norwood Park Senior Center, 5801 N. Natoma Ave.
