WEST LOOP — To celebrate it's grand opening in the West Loop, Blaze Pizza will give away free pizza Friday.

The West Loop restaurant, at 24 S. Clinton St. in Presidential Towers, is the chain's third Chicago location. Blaze Pizza opened its doors to a lunch crowd Thursday, a manager confirmed.

On Friday, the West Loop location will offer free build-your-own artisanal pizzas from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. to anyone who follows Blaze Pizza on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.

The restaurant specializes in custom-built pizzas but also offers salads, s'more pies, wine and craft beer. After customers choose their ingredients, the 11-inch thin-crust pizzas are fired in a open-flame oven and ready to serve in 180 seconds. The pizzas are less than $8.

Blaze Pizza also has gluten-free dough and vegan cheese options.

The chain is being developed in the Chicago area by Levy Family Partners under a 15-store franchise development agreement.

Blaze Pizza launched in Chicago in December 2013 with a restaurant at 953 W. Belmont Ave. in Lakeview. A second location, at 227 E. Ontario St. in Streeterville, opened in April.
