CAPS Meetings in Logan Square, Humboldt Park, Avondale Set for Thursday

HUMBOLDT PARK — Chicago Alternative Policing Strategy meetings will be held Thursday for police beats in Logan Square, Humboldt Park and Avondale.

Beats in the Shakespeare and Harrison districts will meet Oct. 2 to keep residents “informed about emerging crime and disorder.”

  • A meeting for beat 1111 will be held at Brian Piccolo School, 1040 N. Keeler Ave., at 6:30 p.m. The beat covers Kedzie and Cicero avenues to Division and Lake streets in Humboldt Park.
  • A joint meeting for beat 1112 and 1121 will be held at Sanctuary Place, 642 N. Kedzie Ave., at 6 p.m. These beats cover Kedzie Avenue and Pulaski Road to Division Street and roughly Franklin Boulevard in Humboldt Park.
  • A joint meeting for beats 1411 and 1412 will be held at 3000 N. Kedzie Ave. at 7 p.m. for the area between Western Avenue to Central Park Avenue and Belmont Avenue to Logan Square Boulevard in Logan Square and Avondale.
