Humboldt Park Shooting Leaves Man, 54, Dead

CHICAGO — A 54-year-old man has died after he was shot early Monday morning in Humboldt Park, authorities said.

The man was repeatedly shot in his back about 3:20 a.m. Monday in the 1100 block of North Harding Avenue, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a police spokeswoman.

The man, later identified as Malcolm Warnsby, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition. Warnsby, of the 1300 block of North Kildare Avenue, was pronounced dead there at 6:34 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Details surrounding the shooting were not available Wednesday afternoon, police said.
