CHICAGO — A woman was sexually abused on a crowded Red Line train during rush hour Wednesday, police said.

About 8:30 a.m., a 23-year-old woman was on a southbound Red Line train between the Clybourn and Chicago stations when a man made "inappropriate contact" with her, police said in a statement.

The man is described as a white male, 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall with a light complexion and blond or light brown hair, police said.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8380.
