CHICAGO — A 24-year-old man was shot in his face while driving on Lake Shore Drive just after midnight.
Around 12:20 a.m., the man was driving southbound in the 2500 block of North Lake Shore Drive when a light-colored car drove beside him and someone inside opened fire.
The man pulled off the expressway at Fullerton Avenue, where paramedics helped him after being shot in his left cheek. He was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition stabilized, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago police spokeswoman.
No one is in custody for the shooting.
