EDGEWATER — A Chipotle with an outdoor patio plans to open at a new retail development in the former Piser Funeral Home lot at Foster Avenue and North Broadway, Ald. Harry Osterman (48th) announced Friday.

The single-story strip mall development has yet to be built at 5206 North Broadway.

The Chipotle will occupy a 2,200-square-foot unit at the south end of the mall, while PetSmart will occupy another 8,000-square-foot unit, Osterman said.

About 10,000 square feet of space remains to be filled, according to plans announced by developer Bart Friedman, of Chody Real Estate, last year.

Friedman wasn't immediately available for comment regarding when the development would be completed.
