CHICAGO — Two people were shot 10 minutes apart in the Park Manor neighborhood Sunday afternoon, police said.

In the first incident, a 16-year-old boy was shot in the right leg about 4:35 in the 6700 block of South Champlain Avenue, police said. He was taken to Comer Children's Hospital in "stable" condition.

Ten minutes later, a 27-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and buttocks in the 6700 block of South Langley Avenue, a block away from the first shooting.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition. Officer Thomas Sweeney, a police spokesman, said the man was approached by someone who pulled out a gun, fired shots, then fled in a black Dodge Charger.

Sweeney said it was unclear if the shootings were related.
