CHICAGO — Two men were wounded in separate shootings on the Northwest side of the city from Saturday night into Sunday morning.

In the most recent shooting, a 32-year-old man told police he was walking down the 2900 block of North Milwaukee Avenue in Logan Square around 7:55 a.m. Sunday when a gray car drove by and someone from within the car fired shots, said Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman.

Police found bullet holes in the car, so they are still working to verify the accuracy of the man's story, Estrada said.

The man, who authorities say is a documented gang member, is in "very good" condition after sustaining a graze wound in his neck and subsequently driving himself to St. Mary's Hospital.

On Saturday night, around 11:15 p.m., a 27-year-old man was shot in Humboldt Park.

The shooting occurred in the 2600 block of West Augusta Boulevard, Estrada said.

The man told police he was walking down the street when he "heard shots and felt pain," Estrada said.

He walked to Norwegian Hospital with a gunshot wound in his right hip.

Police said he is a documented gang member, but they are not sure if the shooting was gang-related.
